Maximo 7.6: KPI Graphs not displaying after WebSphere Fix Pack 8.5.5.9

Problem

The WebSphere 8.5.5.9 Fix Pack can sometimes cause issues with Maximo KPIs when the servers are rebooted.

The Maximo servers will start up normally, however after Logging into Maximo, any KPI graph portlets display:

This portlet has not been set up. To set up, select the edit icon in the portlet header.

When you click on the edit icon (pencil), the portlet will shows up as configured.

Solution

The first step we recommend is to shut down all of the application servers on the node, and then restart them. See if the issue is resolved after the restart.

If that doesn't work, shut down all of the application servers on the node, this time we will clear the WebSphere cache.

Please read the full IBM Technote here for more information.
To clear the OSGi class cache:
For UNIX platforms, run the following script in each profile:
     <WebSphere_HOME>/profiles/profile_name/bin/osgiCfgInit.sh

For Windows platforms, run the following script in each profile:
     <WebSphere_HOME>\profiles\profile_name\bin\osgiCfgInit.bat

To clear the JVM's class cache (Windows, Linux and AIX only) :
For UNIX platforms, run the following script:
     <WebSphere_HOME>/bin/clearClassCache.sh

For Windows platforms, run the following script:
     <WebSphere_HOME>\bin\clearClassCache.bat

And clear the following directory contents:
     <WinUsers_home>\Local Settings\ApplicationData\javasharedresources\

where WinUsers_home is either C:\Documents and Settings\DefaultUser OR C:\Users depending on your current version of Windows.

Finally, restart the application servers and log back into Maximo. The KPIs should be working correctly.
